In her 11 years of living nomadically, she’s circled the globe multiple times visiting all 7 continents. She lived in Vietnam, hiked the Annapurna Circuit with her father, finished the 10,000-mile Mongol Rally, walked the Camino de Santiago, kayaked in Antarctica, herded reindeer in the Arctic, and drove an auto-rickshaw across India.
While quarantining in her home in Denver – she used her time to work on a new Ebook, Where to Go, and When. The book provides inspirational ideas of where to travel each month (for when we can travel again). For each month she chose 3 destinations to satisfy different travel styles (epic adventure, domestic trip, and an international trip or festival) with a short overview of the interesting, cool and quirky things to do there. The destinations were chosen based on trips Sherry has actually done over her 14 years as a travel blogger. My good friend and incredible writer and photographer – one of the OG’s of travel blogging – Sherry Ott from Ottsworld.com.

Today is all about #vanlife but we are going back in time to 1975 to see how much it has changed over the years. I am happy to welcome Marshall & Debbie Hockett from Tripping1975.com, who, in 1975, hopped on a plane to Europe, grabbed a VW van named Banana, spent a year exploring the continent…and then, wrote a book about it 45 years later!

Joining me today are two people I’ve spent uncountable nights singing karaoke with, who graciously played host when Heather and I got to experience a New Year’s Eve in Sydney, and who I’ve been living vicariously through the last year as they travel around on their 3-year Round the World Trip, my favorite kiwis in the whole world, Mon and T from GetHappy.today.

Joining me today are the half Aussie/half American duo who have roamed the historic streets of Cuba, bathed elephants in Thailand, danced in one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, and done something many of us have done, gorged themselves full of food in Italy, Christine and Jules from Don’tForgetToMove.com and the Not So Bon Voyage podcast, which has the tagline “When Sh*t Goes Wrong on the Road”.
