2020 Travel Wishlist

Extra Pack of Peanuts Podcast 2020 Travel Wishlist

Every year we like to make a list of our dream destinations for the upcoming year. Sometimes we get around to a couple of them, sometimes we don’t and they live on to the following year’s list, but either way, it’s a great way to start off!

We didn’t even look back at our 2019 Travel Wishlist because we didn’t want to be swayed so we simply asked ourselves ‘Where do I want to go’ without overthinking it or putting any restrictions on the dreaming of travel for 2020 just pure wanderlust.

Heather and I go through our top 7 destinations (and some honorable mentions), including a couple of surprising destinations from us both!

Where will we go first?

Our Destination Diary series provides a great overview of a place that we’ve been, or in this place, lived!

Heather and I had the great fortune to be able to live in Japan for 2 years as we taught English, and started Extra Pack of Peanuts!

In those two years, we visiting many different parts of the country and learned quite a bit about how to travel around cheaply. Today we share those tips with you, along with a great list of where to stay, what to do, and what you should (and maybe shouldn’t) eat while you’re in Japan!

The Best Winter Destinations in Europe

Ep-110-Europe-in-Winter (1)

Today we talk about experiences that had us shivering in our boots…

because it was winter!

Nick joins me again today so that we can layout our top 10 (or if you use Nick as an example, 13) European cities to visit during winter.

Not only do several airlines run off-peak promotions for award bookings to Europe during the winter (most notably, American Airlines) but you can save a ton on accommodation as well because it’s the low season!

We chat about everything from London to Istanbul with tons of locations in between, with a ton of funny stories to go with each. Where do you suggest we travel to in Europe during the winter? What did we miss? Let us know so we can plan next year’s trip!
