Every year Heather and I list out our top destinations for the upcoming year.
We tend to knock at least one of them off the list, so let’s see where we might be traveling in 2018!
The honorable mention also makes a comeback with some familiar names as wishes for the new year.

I’ve been looking forward to this one. I just got back from the Austrian alps because of the top winter destinations podcast. Salzburg was cool but Hallstatt and Innsbruck were amazing. I drove from Innsbruck to Frankfurt and there’s an incredibly tall pedestrian suspension bridge on the way to Frankfurt It connects two mountain tops that have castle ruins on them. Ehrenberg castle was the name if you’re interested.
@Jon – Oh man, just more reason to go now. So glad you took our advice on the winter destination podcast…now it’s time to take my own advice and get over there! Also, thanks for the heads up on Innsbruck vs. Salzburg. I’m going to do both hopefully, but will be nice to know which to pick if I only get to do one.
