Destination Diary – Cape Town, South Africa

Ep-193

I have a new favorite city.

Cape Town, South Africa

It has everything. It’s small but has everything you want. You can drive without it being a pain. And you can get to the mountains, the beach, and most importantly, the wine country with less than a 30-minute car ride.

Today Heather joins me as we break down our time in Capetown, from the deal with transportation through amazing (and some not amazing) food and wine we had along the way.

Check out our full itinerary here, as well as our Sleep, Eat, Do guide to Cape Town!

EP-191

If there’s one thing about us you should know, it’s this:

We’re quirky.

When Heather and I travel (which is a lot) we tend to fall into a lot of the same habits and behaviors no matter where in the world we go.

Your job?

To figure out which quirk belongs to each of us.

Some of them are super easy, some not so much. Some we just give away!

Let us know what some of your quirky travel behaviors are in the comments below!

A Tribute to Scott Dinsmore – Friend, Leader, Legend

Ep-190

8 days ago my friend Scott, founder of Live Your Legend, died while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

He was 33 years old.

And even though we had only met in person three times, his impact on my life was incredible.

When I found out about his death, I was shocked.

Crushed.

Depressed.

And while I those feelings are still bubbling inside of me – and probably will be for a long time – I’ve come to realize that the best way I can honor Scott is by helping to spread his incredible message to people who may not have heard it before.

Scott was truly one of the most inspiring, energetic, and enthusiastic people I know, and I recorded this podcast to help others who may be grieving from the loss of a loved one and also to inspire people by discussing the 4 biggest lessons I’ve learned from Scott over the years.

We only get one chance at life, so we better start living our legend.

Taking a Career Break with Sherry Ott of Meet Plan Go! – Part 2

EP-189v2

Today Sherry joins me again for Part 2 of our 2 part interview.

We chat about the founding of Meet, Plan, Go and the resources available there (and how to meet other people trying to do the same thing!)

In addition, we have a length discussion about the importance of having a home base, and how not even we are immune to some of the crazy brainwaves that inhibit us from making the big decisions!

To cap it all off we bring it back to the Gin with a travel mishap story that throws us back to the dangers of a correctly made gin & tonic!

This is part two of a two part interview. Click here to listen to Part 1!
