Jason and I get together this week to talk about one of our favorite subjects.
Beer
We take the time to list out our 8 favorite breweries each (for a total of 16 awesome places to visit) and let you know just why each one made our list.
The rules:
1) It has to be in the United States 2) We have to have visited the brewery in person.
In addition to our Top 16, we also list out some of our disappointments, as well as our wishlists.
If you have a favorite brewery make sure to leave it in the comments, we’d love to hear about it!
If we’re ever near to one we’d be more than happy to meet up, hang out, drink beer, and chat about our awesome brewery experiences!
Spoiler Alert: All the breweries are listed below. If you don’t want to ruin the surprise, stop reading now and listen to the episode first! Then come back and check out all the links.
“What bag should I bring for a two week trip to Europe?”
When you’re planning your first trip (or your hundredth) one of the most important decisions you can make is what type of bag you’ll be bringing.
So, little surprise that it’s one of the most asked questions from EPoP readers!
This week Jason joins me to talk about the essential qualities of a backpack and how to choose the right one for you.
If backpacks aren’t your thing, don’t fret. We also discuss larger wheeled luggage and daypacks, essential for any traveler regardless of their luggage size!
But for Sasha Martin, there is a much better question.
How many countries have you tasted?
Her answer: All of them!
Driven by a need to show her (then 6-month-old) daughter the world in a way that would be meaningful, but without the means to travel, Sasha came up with a different solution.
To cook the world.
Three and a half years later she’s finally completed her journey, only to find that it’s just the beginning.
Today we’ll talk with Sasha about how she came up with the idea to cook the world, why she started the website, and what the plan is now that she’s completed the journey.
She shares with us the importance of achievable goals, her favorite countries, and of course some of her delicious recipes!
We even came up with a listener challenge right on the spot called EPoPCooks.
Check out the recipe below to join us in cooking an Argentinian dinner salad and an Irish dessert cake that is sure to make your mouth water (mine was, and she was just talking about it!)
Why making attainable goals is the key to big dreams.
How Sasha found her recipes.
A great reader challenge that’s sure to make your mouth water!
Some of Sasha’s kitchen mishaps.
and much more!
Listener Challenge: #EPoPCooks
Join me this week in thanking Sasha for coming on the podcast in an unconventional manner.
Cooking!
Now I’m the first to say that I’m no chef in the kitchen, but Sasha has provided us with two easy to make recipes from her cooking journey and wouldn’t it be awesome for us all to share in her adventure?!
Here’s what to do:
1. Follow one (or both for extra credit!) recipes below before September 12th.

And with the age of the internet, we have become consumers of information.
New blogs, podcasts, and courses are everywhere, and we’re always trying to keep up.
But what do you DO with all that information?
How do you take those lessons, those epiphanies and turn them into actual habits that actually transform your life?
Jacob Sokol has an idea.
Sensophy.
Today Jacob joins us to talk about how he believes you can take those ideas and implement real change.
We talk about why the “want” is more important than the “how”, what really inspires people to change (it’s probably not what you think), how travel helped him transform his life, and how surrounding yourself with the right people can make all the difference.
Complete with Notorious B.I.G. quotes and a great piece of travel advice, this is an episode you won’t want to miss!
That’s the question that Kelly Will asked herself when she decided to embark on a year-long quest to visit every all 50 states. But here’s the kicker;
She couldn’t stay in hotels,
or hostels,
or camp,
or even sleep in her car.
She had to stay with real people living in the places she was visiting.
And those people had to be somehow related to her network by being either family, friends, or friends of friends!
Only 2 weeks after having the idea she set out to follow her dream. She had sold all of her belongings (except her car) to fund her trip and hit the road with almost no plan!
Kelly talks to us about the ups and downs of her journey, how a change of mindset is sometimes all you need, and, most importantly, about the amazing bonds that she formed with her 164 host families.
She also shares some of the ways that she cut down on her costs while traveling around the country with a weekly budget that may surprise you.
I’ll take every single response into account, and…
I’m also giving away a $50 Amazon gift card to one of you lucky folk who fills out the survey, so make sure to enter your name into the drawing andfill out the survey here!
