Yesterday we talked a bit about Expedition 1000, but what kind of journeys are these really? Why does he undertake them? How much planning does he do? The questions are endless.
Dave patiently answers all of them and hands out some great advice on lifestyle, packing, and working on the road along the way.
We end our awesome interview with some travel mishaps that prove that perhaps, Dave isn’t so superhuman after all…
The last survey went SO well, that we’re doing it again! Click Here to fill out our survey (it only takes 5 minutes, we promise!) and get entered to win a 50 dollar Amazon Giftcard! We’ll randomly select one person who answers our survey to win!

Dave shares a mountain of good advice here. From how to start changing your life and adventuring to the logistics behind adventuring and working on the road, there’s someone here for everyone. But they can’t learn any of that if they don’t know about it! Click “Tweet This” below to help spread the word and give Dave a big thank you for all his wisdom!

No matter how many times I try, I just can’t get them to admit it.
We’ve had adventurers on before, and I always ask the same question.
So, you’re a superhuman right?
Turns out none of them will admit to it.
They just keep telling they’re regular Joes.
Or in Dave’s case, a couch potato.
Dave Cornthwaithe joins me today to talk about his Expedition 1000 project – 25 journeys of 1000 miles each. All made on manpower alone.
Skateboard, kayak, bicycles, and more; if Dave can make it go, then it’s going.
We discuss moving from an unfulfilled life to one full of joy and spontaneity, how to deal with the people who are critical of these choices and living life to the fullest.
This is part one of a two-part interview with Dave Cornwaithe. Be sure to check in tomorrow for the rest!

Today we bring you a very special destination diary, one close to our hearts.
Our hometown.
Philadelphia!
From the best places to eat and drink around town (including the dive bars) to the most interesting museums for children and adults, it’s all here.
Everything we mention could be done in a couple of day itinerary in Philly (except for maybe all the food. That’s a lot of pizza!) and is great for single travelers, couples, or those traveling with children.
What’s your favorite place to go in Philly? Did we miss something important that we need to do when we get back from SE Asia? Let us know below!

Yesterday we ignited your wanderlust with a list of books about travel in which you’re bound to find something you’ll enjoy.
Today we fan the flames higher.
Nick returns for the epic Part II where we go through books 1-8 on our list and, of course, more honorable mentions (like you expected anything else).
With over 40 books mentioned between Part I and Part II there’s a ton of reading to be done!
Even Nick & I have a huge list of books to read now, apparently, we need to do this more often.
Do you have a favorite book about travel that we didn’t mention? We didn’t know about it! Leave a comment below and let us know, so that next time we won’t make the same mistake!
For those of us with a serious case of wanderlust (or those of us who want one) there’s only one solution.
Reading about travel.
Or is that the problem?
Today I bring back Nick, a good buddy of mine who shares my love of reading about travel. We each listed out our top 10 books about travel for a master top 20 lists sure to increase the size of your bookshelf.
In fact, we listed SO many books in our honorable mentions (quite by accident, you know how it is) and decided to split this up into two episodes. Today’s podcast will be the honorable mentions and books 10-8 on each of our lists.
Make sure to check back tomorrow for the rest of our list! And probably some more honorable mentions…
Have you read any of the books we mentioned today? Leave a comment below with your thoughts!
