India is an assault on the senses, a country of amazing colors, contrasts, and mostly, confusion.
And a country that can’t begin to understand until after you’ve been there, and one you won’t fully understand afterward.
In today’s episode, Trav and Heather break down their three-week adventure through India, telling you their favorite places they stayed, ate, and experiences they had.
From galloping on camels through a driving sandstorm to riding in a flashing neon tuk-tuk with a driver swigging vodka and trying to sell them textiles, these stories are ones that could only happen in India.

Hey there!
I’m thinking about going to India, and I loved your description of the personal driver service. Who did you use?
Did you go through a certain agency or company to do the desert camel excursion?
Any specific details would be appreciated!
@Meagan- Yes, we hired a personal driver, but the service we went through I wouldn’t specifically recommend. I forget how we found it, but just through Googling. I’d recommend going to India Mike, as it’s a great resource and people there can probably give you some good advice.
Thank you so much! I’m listening to your podcast as I type this. I love it…keep them coming! (PS- destination diaries are SO AWESOME!)
