Top 20 Travel Books Part I

Ep.-97---Top-20-Books-Part-I

For those of us with a serious case of wanderlust (or those of us who want one) there’s only one solution.

Reading about travel.

Or is that the problem?

Today I bring back Nick, a good buddy of mine who shares my love of reading about travel. We each listed out our top 10 books about travel for a master top 20 lists sure to increase the size of your bookshelf.

In fact, we listed SO many books in our honorable mentions (quite by accident, you know how it is) and decided to split this up into two episodes. Today’s podcast will be the honorable mentions and books 10-8 on each of our lists.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for the rest of our list! And probably some more honorable mentions…

Have you read any of the books we mentioned today? Leave a comment below with your thoughts!

Ep 96-Charlie-Grosso

Did you know that AirBnB can MAKE you money while you travel?

Many of us have homes (or would like to have homes) that we still have to pay for while we’re out on the road. The cost of that can stop any of us from being able to travel the way we want to travel.

But Charlie knows a secret.

You can rent your place out while you’re gone!

She shares her experiences renting out her New York apartment while she travels the world, the ups and downs, and how you can do the same.

We also chat about some of her best tips for saving money on travel, the Rickshaw Run, and the most serious travel mishap that we’ve heard. Yet, she still travels on.

Do you have any questions for Charlie about renting out your place on AirBnB? Let me know in the comments and I’ll pass them along!

Turning Passion into Profit with Charlie Grosso

Ep-95---Charlie-Grosso

When we think of location independence we almost never consider running a brick and mortar business from anywhere in the world.

It is called location independence after all.

Charlie Grosso didn’t let that stop her.

Though Charlie travels the world participating in crazy adventures such as the Mongol Rally and Rickshaw run while earning part of her income as a travel writer and consultant, she also owns a business in New York City.

An art gallery to be exact.

Because honestly, why should the type of lifestyle you want to lead interfere with your passions?

Today Charlie chats with us about freedom, security, adventures, and location independence from the viewpoint of someone who wears a lot of hats. Owning a business isn’t easy, no matter where you live, so why not travel?

This is Part I of a two-part interview.

Since you already know that we’re super tourists (and super nerdy) we decided to take it a step farther and list of our favorite tourist destinations around the world.

In for a penny, in for a pound.

These are the places that are seen by many independent travelers to be a little too full of tourists for their tastes.

We disagree.

Sometimes places are so packed with tourists because they’re full of amazing and cool things that everyone should make an effort to see and experience.

Have you been to a super touristy destination that we left off our list? Let us know! You know us, we’re always looking for places to add to our travel lists!
