We’ll also chat about how money is a socially acceptable excuse for deeper fears, and how both Jacob and I are establishing home bases that are allowing us to evolve our businesses to the next level.

Thank you for this interview with Jacob. Awesome to hear all the golden nuggets of wisdom come out. I completely resonated with the fear of stepping up in business. Hearing this just hit me between the eyes – I am doing the same thing and see that so clearly now. No more excuses, putting up my own blocks and I am moving forward making decisions in line with my better mood and not fear. Thanks.
@Elizabeth Roberts- Really glad you liked it. Yeah, it’s funny when you come up with some clarity WHILE talking about something on the podcast, but that’s usually what happens. You are talking it out, and you say “wait a minute, why don’t I just do this?”
Glad you could take this and implement it in your own life. What was it that you were fearful of? How are you changing it? I’d love to hear it!
I’ve listened to nearly every EPOP episode in my office cubicle and this by far has been the most inspirational and useful for me. I have taken a few big trips now and everytime I come home loving life and have all these ideas of what direction I should be going in but then I slowly lose it and start to feel depressed and stuck with where I am at. I love the strategies mentioned for staying in the right mind frame and getting rid of the fear that is keeping me from being at the place where I will be most fulfilled. I love the statement; “when you are in a bad mood, you make bad decisions” so true. Thanks so much for this Travis and Jacob for re-igniting that inspiration again!
@Caitlyn Stone- Soooooo glad you’ve loved the podcast in general and this episode in particular. I’m right with you – every time I talk with Jacob (I’ve got the good fortune of getting to chat with him a lot), I always come away totally inspired and also with new ways to keep that inspiration burning, which is the key.
The bad decisions thing is soooo true – I’m taking that and running with it, it was one of my big takeaways from this episode as well!
