Let’s get one thing straight from the get-go.
We don’t know our own rules. And I’m ridiculously easy to convince.
So basically, this list is always changing, and you have the power to change it! Tweet me at @PackOfPeanuts and let me know why I should change my list, and what to!
Heather and I embark on the impossible, to nail down our top 5 destinations each. Some of them we’ll be visiting this year, others are still in the works. We know we’ll get everywhere eventually, but by then we’ll have a whole new list that’s probably longer than this one!
Travel is definitely addicting!
Tweet me at @PackOfPeanuts with your #1 travel destination!

We visited Muscat, and during/after visiting, I realized that Oman had cool things that we SHOULD’VE seen in the rest of the country. We were there briefly enough that we didn’t leave Muscat, but I wish we could have.
The Bimmah Sinkhole for example.
If you see it, tell me all about it!
@Carrie – Yeah, I hear it’s just an amazing country. And that region as a whole is pretty fascinating, so I can’t wait to get there. When are you heading back?
I’m a bit behind, trying to catch up on my backlog of podcast episodes. Anyway, just wanted to share my Top 10 (as of today, at least):
10) Ireland (I’ve been, but have to go back)
9) Riga
8) Prague
7) Machu Pichu
6) Iceland
5) Hungary & Slovakia
4) Puerto Rico
3) Holland & Belgium river cruise
2) Greek islands
1) Scotland (going Sept. of ’17)
@Tracy- That’s a pretty epic list, and I’m glad you “cheated” a little bit and snuck in some multiple country ones (like combining Slovakia and Hungary, Belgium and Holland).
Only been to Prague and Slovakia on your list, but both were great. The rest…I’m ready to go to!
If anyone is interested in visiting Georgia, check out some of my posts! http://loveatfirstlayover.blogspot.com/search/label/Georgia
It’s an amazing country that I cannot recommend highly enough. I’m happy to give advice/travel recommendations, and if you come in the summer I’d love to play tour guide!
Greece! And for more than the island hopping.
We spent (my wife and seven year old daughter) three months in Greece, including significant time in the Peloponnese, the islands, and Crete/Rhodes.
A great beginning to our year of travel.
@Teddy – Alright, looks like most people are siding with Heather…island hopping it is. Sounds lovely!
