About the Show
Creating Insatiable Wanderlust Since 2013
Every Tuesday Trav and Heather fill your heart with wanderlust and your head with knowledge.
Sometimes we’ll interview amazing travelers, like the guy who went around France on a little red scooter or the guy who spent 5 years going to every country in Africa (and climbing the tallest peak in each). Sometimes we’ll give you practical advice, like our 47 best gifts for travelers or 21 ways to survive a long haul flight. Sometimes we’ll drop some lists on ya (we love lists!) like our top 10 ice cream in the world or our top 25 breweries. And sometimes we’ll tell you all the best things to do at a specific destination, like the best seafood in Croatia or where to eat pizza in Rome.
But we’ll always have fun, always get (probably too) excited, and always say the word boutique wrong.
Here is the second part of my time with Zeona and we got into the nitty-gritty of what works and what doesn’t! We discussed the different platforms (positives & negatives), mistakes in listings, how to price, standing out in the crowd, dealing with non-positive reviews, and so much more. This episode is a must listen if you have ever played around with the idea of getting into the short-term vacation rental game but make sure you listen to Part 1 to hear the how and why Zeona got to where she is & how she has made it her career.
Zeona went from a $12 an hour retail job while side-hustling by renting out her place on Airbnb to owning her own Airbnb property to now having an entire vacation property management company that she runs while still traveling around the world. This is part one of a two-episode series where we break down the backstory of how Zeona got started, tips and tricks for the beginner, and if she had it to do over again what would she have done differently.
In this annual episode, Heather and Trav take a glance back over 2018 and reveal the top 6 unexpected things that have happened to them that they are thankful for. It’s great to practice thankfulness all year long but it’s definitely in overdrive during this season and we couldn’t be happier.
Every year, for the past six years, we’ve scoured the globe to find the most unique, most useful, and best gifts for travelers on the planet (tough life, I know). And in those past six years, our annual “best gifts for travelers” guide has become the #1 travel gift guide in the world!
We’ve been spending more and more time in Austin lately so we thought it was time to share! With tons of activities, awesome places to eat and drink, and more tacos than you can even imagine. And you know we love tacos.
The last of our #throwdownshowdown series, this time? Eastern vs. Western Europe!
The second of three our #throwdownshowdown episode series! Now? A question we get all the time. Thailand or Bali?
It’s time for a #throwdownshowdown! This time? Portland Oregon versus Vancouver British Columbia!
