Hey Travis! Loved this episode of the podcast. You absolutely have to do the cargo ship cruise, and then podcast all about it. I have been very curious about it myself. Unfortunately, my wife does not share my enthusiasm for this particular adventure, and upon doing a little research it’s more expensive than you’d think. Can cost over $100 per night, and these tend to be long voyages. Seems to be the law of supply and demand. The idea garners a lot of interest, and spots on the ships are limited. @Earl B- Wow, that is pretty pricey. Hmmm…thanks for the links, I’ll definitely look in to it though. Thanks for all the info.
I liked the episode, but there are a few minor points of clarification. First, while I haven’t been on a cargo ship cruise myself, and it is certainly nichy thing to do, it’s not exactly like you would be a stowaway – it’s actually already a thing (http://bit.ly/2nIPqS9). Also, piracy is real and a very scary thing (http://bit.ly/2ncAbOy). However, I’m all in when it comes to a few months or more of tropical beach life.
