16 Best Places to Live for 3 Years

Extra pack of Peanuts Podcast 16 Best Places to Live for 3 Years

You are really digging our “countdown” style podcasts lately so we are giving you another one but this time we are diving into the 16 best places to live for at least 3 years. We aren’t talking about vacations or short-haul stays but living day to day life like a local, embracing the culture fully, & truly settling into the places we discuss in today’s podcast.

This one is a little more high stakes because Trav has a love of buying real estate and so at any point one of these places could become a reality so I (Heather) had to think long and hard about the possible future commitment this episode could be making for me.

We each picked 7-8 places (hello, honorable mentions) where we could live for 3 years and you’ll have to listen to see if we had any places make both lists. Can anyone say moving possibilities?!

Only One Country…For The Rest Of Our Lives

Extra Pack Of Peanuts Podcast Only One Country...For The Rest Of Our Lives

Today we are answering one of our listener’s questions that we received through our Instagram account and we thought it was so good that it deserved its own podcast episode. We all know how much Travis loves his lists and he agonized over it up until this recording (TBH it was during the recording as well) while Heather was able to put her’s together in less than 5 minutes but that is not to say that there wasn’t a ton of pros and cons to navigate. The question is (drumroll please…) if you could only go back to one country for the rest of your life, where would you choose?

And of course, Trav has his ground rules for this question & is the flip flop master which you will hear when you check out this episode.

Epic Trips & Micro-Adventures w/ Alastair Humphreys

Extra Pack Of Peanuts Podcast Epic Trips & Micro-Adventures w/ Alastair Humphreys

Do you allow your lack of funds to dictate your travels or lack thereof? Are you looking for an epic adventure or are you more of a micro-adventurer? Today’s guest is someone whose accomplishments will make you feel slightly guilty you didn’t hit the gym yesterday since they include cycling around the world for 4 years, rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, pulled a 600-pound sled across the Empty Quarter desert & for good measure, completed an unsupported trek across Iceland by foot and pack-raft.

It’s no wonder that he was the 2012 National Geographic Traveler of the Year, and Geographic Magazine calls him “Slightly bonkers but this a wonderful thing”, Alastair Humphreys from AlastairHumphreys.com and author of 10 books, including the latest My Midsummer Morning.
