To cap off our Year in Review Series Heather and I talk about our favorite experiences of 2016.

Going through our photos made us long for the road today, as the weather here in Philly was a bit dreary, but it also made us incredibly grateful.

Thanks to all the listeners who supported us in 2016!

Enjoy our reminiscing about some of our favorite moments, some you’ve heard of before, some you haven’t’, but all absolutely wonderful!

2016 Year in Review: Stats and Superlatives

ep-260

Click here to download this episode.

Every year we spend (a little too much) time searching through our emails to find out where we were every night that year. Figuring out how many miles we traveled, how many miles we flew, how many beds we slept in, and of course how many countries and states we visited.

Even though that takes us hours of work, it only takes up about 10 minutes of audio. Not quite fair! So we pair it with something else. Our superlatives.

What were the best hotels, the worst hotels? What was the craziest thing we did this year? The most underwhelming? The most surprising?

Listen to today’s episode to find out!

There will be two more 2016 in Review episodes coming over the next couple of weeks, our best food & drinks as well as our best experiences, so stay tuned!

How many places did you sleep in 2016? Let us know if you beat us this year! Message us on Instagram at @ExtraPackofPeanuts!!

Israel Fascination

Ep-222

When I returned from Israel, I released a podcast with Puzzle Israel founders Nir and Guy that talked a bit about the tour that I went on.

But we didn’t really get into the activities that we did, and the experiences that we had that were so impactful.

So we’ve decided to release another podcast today with listener favorite, Napkins, joining me to flip the script and ask ME some questions about my trip to Israel.

We discuss everything from the theoretical to the actual. My knowledge before going to Israel (nothing. I didn’t even know there was a desert!) to how much I’ve learned since visiting, some of the amazing experiences that I had along the way, and how breaking my phone made all the difference.

Israel is a fascinating country, and I highly recommend a visit, hopefully, after this talk you’ll be pumped and ready to add it to your (ever-growing) travel list!

Traveling Israel Like A Local with Nir and Guy, Co-Founders of Puzzle Israel

Ep-220v2

Recently I had the good fortune to be able to travel to Israel with two amazing dudes, Nir and Guy.

As local Israelis, they had the idea to bring people to Israel and show them around…as locals.

Add to that the promise of delicious foods (they both have culinary backgrounds) and I was hooked.

Since I’m always trying to experience places more authentically this seemed like the perfect type of tour for me, so I gave it a go.

And it BLEW ME AWAY.

I ate delicious food, made a bunch of friends, and was able to understand this complicated and thrilling country through the eyes of locals.

Nir and Guy have done something awesome by creating a boutique travel company that is going to turn the tour industry on its head, and today, they reveal how it all started (with a dream…and some beer), where it’s going, and why they are doing something no one else in Israel is attempting to do.

And don’t forget…for a special discount and a VIP experience, check out Puzzle Israel and mention that Trav from Extra Pack of Peanuts sent you!
